Topo Typo
This proposal, a mixed-use building in Chicago's Loop, is for the replacement of Helmut Jahn's James Thompson Center, the derelict centralized location of government offices with a striking atrium. With the addition of a hotel and commercial offices, this project organizes the disparate program around a topological atrium, one that folds, bends, compresses, splits, and expands as it makes its way from below ground to the sky.
